PA6化学名称聚己内酰胺，熔点220度，热分解温度大于310度，相对密度1.14，吸水率（23度水中24小时）1.8%，具有优良的耐磨性和自润滑性，机械强度高，耐热性、电绝缘性能好，低温性能优良能自熄，耐化学药品性好，特别是耐油性优良。PA66化学名称为聚己二酰己二胺，熔点260~265度，突出的特点是熔点高，加工温度很窄，大约10度左右，因此，对加工条件的确定较难掌握。另外，PA66对水较敏感，微量的水分便可使其水解，使相对分子质量变小，所以必须严格控制其水含量。
